BIG STAR ANNOUNCES THE DUST UP FESTIVAL SEPTEMBER 8th IN CHICAGO.
OLD BABY will be playing with: DISAPPEARS, ANDRE WILLIAMS & THE GOLDSTARS, QUARTER MILE THUNDER AND THE JEFF WALROTH BAND
BIG STAR, IN CONJUNCTION THE METRO LAUNCH THEIR FIRST ANNUAL MUSIC FESTIVAL
Wicker Park taco-and-booze-haven Big Star is teaming up with legendary Chicago concert venue, Metro, to put on The Dust-Up: the first installment of what is sure to become one of the city’s most anticipated annual concert series. The event will take place in the restaurant’s parking lot at 1531 North Damen Avenue, will be free to attend and there will be beer available outside. Kicking off at noon local DJs will spin during a record fair featuring booths. Live musicians include Chicago’s garage impresarios Disappears, R&B legend Andre Williams & The Goldstars, Louisville psych-rock fivesome Old Baby, ex-Bloodiest bassist Ben Clarke’s sparse folk solo project Quarter Mile Thunder and Chicago Americana-blues group The Jeff Walroth Band will kick off the live music at 4pm.
